HEAD NORTH WINNER!
Album cover and packaging design for (my band!) Head North’s LP Winner!
This project was a collaborative, and deeply personal effort with my creative-partner-in-crime and bandmate Benjamin Lieber. The nostalgic summerscape photo (taken during much simpler times) was chosen for this because it evokes a sense of renewal and fresh energy, meant to reflect the reemergence of the band after an eight-year hiatus.
The whimsical title typography captures the subtle sense of humor within the songs while featuring the late Django, Head North’s silent fifth member of which a large portion of the album is a tribute to. The inner sleeve’s scrapbook-style design pulls from the band’s photo archive of high and low moments from the time in between albums and weaves them together as a visual narrative of growth, loss and renewal.
